February is all about love so I wanted to share with you some yoga poses that are referred to as heart openers. These poses physically open up your chest, allowing more oxygen to get into your lungs which is great for your brain and body; open up your upper thoracic spine allowing better range of motion and expand your rib cage; and help release emotional blockages that may be stuck in your heart chakra.

These can be very powerful as you are making yourself vulnerable to the world by opening up a space which many of us have shut down or closed off due to past emotional, mental and/or physical traumas. Pay attention to your posture as you continue to practice these poses. You will stand straighter and have greater confidence. And, you will be more self-loving and welcome more love in to your life. You can never have enough love!
