Chiropractic Care and Adjustments
As Chiropractors, we address the cause of the problems rather than just treating the symptoms. Your spinal column, comprised of 24 moveable vertebra, houses the spinal cord which is the component that transmits nervous impulses to and from our brains and out to the nerves exiting from the spinal cord. These nerves travel to all organs and muscles in your body allowing them to function properly by stimulating chemical and physiological reactions.

When exiting the spine, these nerves lie in between each vertebral segment. When a vertebral misalignment, subluxation, is present, correcting the misalignment, an adjustment, removes pressure from the exiting nerves and restores normal nerve function to and from the spinal cord. Because our nervous system is the governing system in our bodies, correcting spinal misalignment will help restore normal function to the nervous system, increase range of motion in the joints and reduce pain and muscle spasm thus allowing our bodies to function more efficiently.
This process is performed without the use of drugs or surgery. It is a healthy and natural way to correct dysfunction in the body and eliminates the chance of adverse reactions or complications in the body.
The adjustment can be performed different ways in different areas of the body. Every body and every person has their own unique pain threshold and sensitivity. There are many techniques and methods of correcting the spine. They all work and it’s our job to figure out what works best for you.
