Help from an accident Chiropractor in Delray Beach?

A few things you need to know if you’ve been involved in an automobile accident…
Have you been involved in a car accident recently? If so, you may have sustained hidden injuries that you are unaware of. And the
reason for that is because typically, a motor vehicle accident will cause “soft tissue” damage (i.e. herniated vertebral discs) which
has the potential to cause lifetime discomfort, pain and suffering.

Common characteristics of auto accident injuries:

Immediate pain in the head, neck, and lower back regions or pain starting 1-2 days following the accident
  • Low grade headache
  • Nausea and/or vomiting
  • Radiating pain or numbness in arms,
  • Dizziness
  • Stiffness in the back or neck regions
  • Confusion, disorientation, anxiety
If you have any of these or similar symptoms, it is vital to seek medical attention within the first two weeks of the injury due to the new State of Florida personal injury laws.
If you do not… insurance companies may limit your medical coverage to zero or 1/4 of the typical $10,000 worth of coverage.

Why see a Chiropractor after your auto accident?

As chiropractors, we see and analyze the body as a whole but we specialize in addressing the care of the spine, its adjacent structures and the function of the nervous system. Typically, an automobile accident will cause sudden high velocity trauma in which not only your car will suffer damage but more importantly your physical body as well. As a Chiropractor for car accidents in Delray Beach we’re here to make sure local residents can get the care they need for their injuries.

What does a Chiropractor do when you’ve been injured in an auto accident?

  • Exam, x-rays, consultation and diagnosis of symptoms.
  • Initiate a chiropractic treatment plan of care for sustained injuries including chiropractic adjustments and manipulations; physiotherapy such as ultrasound, electrical muscle stimulation, traction, trigger point therapy, cold laser therapy, therapeutic exercises, patient education and instruction for lifestyle changes and exercises.
  • Regular re-exams to evaluate the patient’s progress.
  • Refer the patient to any specialists (orthopedists or pain management) or diagnosti c testing as needed for complete and overall care of the injuries

How long does Chiropractic care take to recover from auto injuries?

Typically, chiropractic care lasts a minimum of three to six months depending upon the patient’s compliance with the set care plan and the severity of the injuries sustained in the accident.

How are my medical bills paid?

Florida Law requires every driver in the state carry a minimum of $10,000.00 PIP no-fault insurance of which the majority of that $10,000.00 is available for medical coverage for injuries sustained in an accident. This ensures that regardless of who is at fault, there is medical insurance coverage for medical bills. However, as noted before, it is vital to receive medical care within the first two weeks of your injury in order to receive up to the maximum $10,000.00 medical coverage available for your injuries.
Your provider’s office (chiropractor, orthopedist, hospital, neurologist or diagnostic testing center) will submit claims to your insurance company on your behalf and will be paid by the insurance company accordingly.

“When anyone ever asks me if I can refer them to a chiropractor, I have no hesitation in telling them to see Dr. Kristina Jensen. She has kept me healthy and is one of the main reasons that I can continue to do what I do for a living- I am a multisport coach who trains for Ironman triathlon competitions and I log many miles of training each week across three sports- swimming, biking and running.

Dr. Jensen and her caring team have kept this body of mine feeling great and doing what it needs to do. Dr. Jensen always takes time to figure out my needs, and I am treated with respect and a genuine interest that I have seldom experienced elsewhere. Dr. Jensen never rushes my visit and I always feel better when I leave. I seriously credit her for helping me to have the best race of my life last year at Ironman Arizona. Dr. Jensen consistently looks for ways to make her clients feel better and is a true positive force for good, with excellent suggestion for ways to complement her chiropractic therapy. I have referred many of my clients to Dr. Jensen, and each one of them has had the same experience as me: a caring, attentive, thorough, and healing visit.”

“Dr. Jensen has helped me more than she even knows! She’s fixed my ribs after a bike crash, worked on my aching shoulder after years of swimming and has given me the best adjustments when my body felt off-kilter.

It’s what she did for me mentally & spiritually that meant the most to me though. I was really struggling with the loss of my mom which was holding me back in many facets of my life. After just one session with Dr. Jensen, I felt lighter and free. I’m not even sure how she did it but it was magical! I highly recommend seeing her for a whole mind, body, spirit healing session!”

I just wanted to let you know that I’m having some good success in relieving my neck and shoulder pain by using Dr. J’s Muscle Magik, and I want to thank you for that! I know I spend too much time on my computer and often get so focused that I hunch my shoulders and tighten my neck without realizing it. Now I leave my bottle of Muscle Majik right on my desk. It’s helping the pain go away and the fragrance from the herbs reminds me to roll my shoulders and take a little breather.

So thanks for all you do to help me feel better, I appreciate you.
